David Aviram

David is a founding member of Maverick and a member of the investment committee. David develops Maverick's investment strategy and leads its fundraising activities. His primary responsibilities include business development, financial analysis, deal structuring, and portfolio management. Prior to Maverick, David was a Vice President at Eastdil Secured, a real estate investment banking firm wholly owned by Wells Fargo, where he represented clients in over $3 billion worth of transactions. 

David holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Philosophy Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.


Ted Martell

Ted is a founding member of Maverick and a member of the investment committee.  Ted oversees all aspects of asset management for Maverick’s investments.  His primary responsibilities include business plan execution,  due diligence,  settlement structuring, and portfolio management.  Prior to Maverick, Ted managed the development of multifamily and hospitality projects in Manhattan and Miami Beach with a capitalization of over $200 million.  As a project executive at Sciame Construction, he managed construction projects in Manhattan with a cost of over $300 million on behalf of his institutional clients. 

Ted holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Architecture from Princeton University.


David joined Maverick in 2017 to lead its finance and operations functions.  Prior to Maverick, David was a Vice President at Arbor Realty Trust, where he structured, underwrote, and closed over $200 million in debt transactions across all property types.  Before joining Arbor, David spent ten years at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, where he was most recently responsible for accounting, operations, and fund administration for the Real Estate Debt platform.  While at BlackRock, David also underwrote, closed and traded over $1.5 billion of subordinate CMBS.

David holds a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.  David is a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charter holder.

Jim Yetter

Jim joined Maverick in 2015 and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities as well as managing existing investments.  Prior to Maverick, Jim was a Senior Associate at Cushman & Wakefield, formerly Massey Knakal Realty Services, where he oversaw the business development, underwriting, and marketing of over $800 million of investment property in the New York Metro area.  

Jim holds a BA in History from Colgate University.


Chad Roberson

Chad joined Maverick in 2016 and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities. Prior to Maverick, he was a Portfolio Manager at Honne Capital, LLC, a New York-based special situations hedge fund, where he founded and oversaw Honne's distressed credit trading business. Before joining Honne, Chad spent three years at The Carlton Group, a New York-based real estate investment banking firm, where he completed approximately $3.3 billion of structured debt and equity financing transactions across all property types.

Chad holds a BS in Business Administration from Longwood University.


Brock Kenyon

Brock joined Maverick in 2017 and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities. Prior to Maverick, he held roles at Virtus Real Estate Capital, Nasdaq and United Realty Trust, where he assisted in sourcing new investments and in asset management.

Brock holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University.
